Prepaid Facebook Credits gift cards will be on sale soon at french stores Fnac.
Featuring a four months exclusivity with Facebook, Fnac will market in the coming days Facebook Credits prepaid gift cards. This will enable users to spend virtual currency on the Facebook games like The Sims or Farmville. Reportedly, the first stores are being delivered. Three different cards are available: one for 20 euros, one for 10 euros and one for 10 euros featuring the Facebook game 'The Sims' Social'. The game had 70 million players in July in the world, according to Facebook France. These cards will offer three models of the same features, however, and target "social gamers" with these cards so that can buy virtual goods on their favorite games.
In October 2010, similar cards of 5, 10 and 25 dollars have been offered for sale at Walmart and BestBuy. Late April 2011, the market for Facebook Credits would have been $600 million.
